For all ages - must have a good river roll. Intended for intermediate or advanced paddlers interested in slalom racing technique.
Coaching: National team member Megan Stalheim, and other experienced and highly ranked slalom racers to be announced. Video analysis of your technique.
Location: Wausau course - Wausau, Wisconsin. Meet at the course at 8 AM on Friday Aug. 4th.
Workouts: Friday and Saturday one workout from 9 AM to 10:30 AM, and A second workout from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Water will be available for paddling on your own between workouts. Sunday we will have a full-length simulated race early in the morning, starting before the scheduled public water release. The Sunday PM session will be during the public release.
Food/lodging: On your own. Limited home stay possibilities in the area. Call Scott Stalheim at 715-748-0647.
Other races: The Age Nationals in South Bend, IN and a Mid-America race in Carlton, MN are the following weekend, so this is a good time to tune up if you are racing in either of these races, or for the Nationals, located in California two weeks after this camp!
Cost: $70.00 if pre-register by July 28th. $75.00 late registration.
Release waivers must be signed at the camp. Paddlers under 18 that can not be accompanied by an adult to co-sign the waiver must contact us ahead of time to make special arrangements.
