This graph shows the distribution of boats by the percentile they fall into. It happens to be based on draft #2, but I expect the graph for draft #3 to look almost exactly like it.

To make it, I combined all the race boats together, and then wrote a script to count the number whose rank ratio fell between 1.000 and .9, .9 and .8, .8 and .7, etc.

I'm not suggesting that this constitutes rigorous analysis; but it does allow at least a glimpse into how the boats are distributed and into how the populations of the classes compare.
